PRESENT –Jacqui, Max, Rose, Deb, Wendy
APOLOGIES – Hilda, Trevor, Sue, Christine, Marshall
- Comment cards none received this time. Deb agreed to send cards out when sending out letters for annual reviews. Max to get more pens.
- Card has been sent thanking young offender’s team for cleaning the car park. There problems with getting money from PCT for cost of bin Deb to ask CIC Board for £200 to purchase bin. It was noticed that recycling bins had been put on the car park again. It was agreed by the group to write a letter to the landlord complaining about this and also to ask about a mural on the outside wall the group would sign. Wendy would put a letter together.
- Wendy had made contact with Barney Hare Duke regarding mural she had received no response. Rose thought she may know of somebody who may be able to do this she would make contact. It was agreed to think about having plant pots for next year.
- The New Patient Participation flyer was completed now being handed out to patients. It was thought by the group it would be nice to include a healthy recipe in the next addition.
- Wendy suggested doing a stand for Mental Health and Patient Group when flu clinics were being held. Max had obtained information from rethink it was agreed to invite Mandy from rethink Max to invite. It was also suggested to invites Change and Lifestyle for one of the days.
- The surgery had employed a trainee practice nurse she would start some time in August.
- Deb gave an update on the Willow Bank CIC transfer it was now looking unlikely to be August the PCT had not made any contact since last meeting.
- A discussion took place regarding Local Involvement Network (LINK). It was thought it may be a good idea for somebody from Willow Bank to be on the board. It was agreed that Wendy, Deb and some of the group would attend the next Meeting on 4th August at 6:00pm WRVS Charles Street Hanley.
- Ruth had contacted the PCT regarding hand gel dispensers it was said they were only needed in the clinical rooms. It was agreed to keep a dispenser in the reception.
- The group thought it would be nice to start a walking group from the surgery a notice would be put on the patient board asking patients if they would be interested.
